Lufkin Police said Sunday that it appears as if the “Door Kick Burglar” may have hit again Saturday night. While Lufkin residents are on high alert, police continue to be plagued with at least 20 unsolved home burglaries in the past several weeks. The burglaries appear to follow the same pattern since entry to the houses was by kicking in the back door.
Lufkin Police reports Sunday showed four burglaries and one attempted burglary Friday and Saturday night on or around Oleta Street between 9 and 10 p.m. According to Sgt. Scott Cagnon of the Lufkin Police Department, the incidents could be related to the other unsolved burglaries.
“The description fits,” he said. “We are certainly looking at it right now and considering whether these could be related to the other Door Kick Burglary cases that we recently had.”
