Nacogdoches, tx — Authorities were able to catch 12 alleged illegal aliens during a traffic stop Monday afternoon.
At 2:39 p.m., a Nacogdoches police officer stopped the SUV on the 2700 block of NW Stallings Drive after the driver failed to signal a lane change.
The officer noticed there were 12 people inside and he tried to talk to them, but their travel information didn't make sense, so he called a translator to the scene.
The translator was able to figure out the passengers had allegedly paid different sums of money to travel into the U.S. illegally. None of the people inside the SUV were carrying identification.
Authorities say the ages of the illegal immigrants ranged in age from 19 to in the 30s. No children were in the vehicle.
ICE officials have transferred the immigrants to a Homeland Security detainer.
