Lakeport — Lakeport residents will vote on two propositions that would allow limited alcohol sales in the city limits on the November general election ballot.
The city has a ban on the sale of alcohol, but the sale is legal right up to the northern tip of the Gregg County town of 974 residents.
Backers of the two propositions on the ballot say Lakeport is missing out on sales revenue from a product that’s already present in the community.
