Tyler, TX — On a radio show this weekend, the governor of Maryland right in the middle of storm preps for hurricane Sandy chose to get political.
But being political is one thing. Being down right loony is another.
Martin O'Malley first regaled the host saying they needed to uncouple from the profit model when it comes to utility companies.
Governor, I hate to tell you this, but electricity companies are in the business to make money.
This guy is a governor and he said this , but he's just getting warmed up.
He and I are about the same age, so here we go.
He said the power grid from Maryland was okay for the storms of the 70s, but not ready for the more violent storms of now a days.
Did we not have violent storms in the 1970s? We had hurricanes.
I grew up on the Gulf Coast of Texas. We had hurricanes.
Has he never heard of Hurricane Andrew in Florida?
What about Camille back in the 60s? Betsy, Carla, I could go on and on.
This storm Sandy does have a record breaking low pressure. But the reason this storm is so dangerous is it's hitting a very populated area and it's interacting with another storm to the west.
He's saying storms are far more frequent since we heated up the atmosphere.
According to whom, Cher?
I think the radio host just moves on and says there are more question on another day realizing the governor was off in the paw-paw bushes during a serious situation.
We mentioned just a few weeks ago another huge hole in the greenhouse gas defense.
The main stream media hates that as much as they hate asking questions about Benghazi.
