Tyler, TX — CPS notified KETK, a TMC, Temporary Conservatorship Management was decided this afternoon.A Smith County Judge and CPS agreed that it would be safe for the the children with her husband known as their stepfather. They have been asking for him, they call him dad, and are having a very difficult time right now.
Wednesday afternoon, Child Protective Services in Smith County took emergency custody of, five-year old, Emily, Lucas' sister.
Law Enforcement gave CPS a report that a man had murdered his ex-wife and needed immediate assistance with the children.
Emily was at school when her father allegedly took her mother's life.
Shari Pulliam with CPS, tells KETK investigators picked up the child from school and placed her in a foster home.
They now have custody of four year old Lucas.
"Four year old male child in now back in Texas in Foster home at this time with his sister, the siblings have been reunited, of course they are very distraught at this time, they are very upset over the incidents that happened yesterday," Shari Pulliam, Child Protective Services.
