Tyler, TX — I had to call an audible this afternoon because the original POV was about the lunacy of Mayor Bloomberg carrying on with the New York cCty marathon despite the death and destruction which just happened.
But now, the drama to watch is what's going on with the union situation there. A utility crew from Alabama volunteered to go up to New Jersey and help out.
They were turned around by the local union bosses saying no thanks.
The media got so intense that the unions said that never happened and the Alabama folks are politely trying to make it all go away.
But as of right now, what looks to have happened is that this Alabama crew was hit with a 30 plus page letter saying basically is you're going to help us, you're going to join the union.
They tried to look other places to help. Discouraged, they came home to Alabama.
This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever seen. There should have never been any back and forth at all.
People are hungry. Our fellow Americans are cold. There is no clean water.
People can't go to the bathroom except for outside in some areas. And it all boils down to a union card.
Shame.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
