(CNN) — Mitt Romney will campaign in Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Election Day, campaign officials said Monday.
While Ohio is considered perhaps the most crucial battleground this cycle, Pennsylvania tends to lean Democratic. Recent polls, however, have indicated the race is tightening in the state, sparking renewed efforts by the Romney campaign to make a play for the state.
The events will mark Romney's second time to both states this week, as the Republican presidential nominee held an event in Morrisville, Pennsylvania on Sunday and will hold a rally in Columbus, Ohio on Monday night.
Presidential candidates typically set aside campaigning on Election Day.
