Tyler, TX — Tuesday's alcohol election results has caused some controversy in Smith County. Some East Texans wanted beer and wine sales pass and some are against it.
Chandler is one of the cities that is now a "wet" city. KETK talked to Chandler residents about what they're thinking of their city going "wet".
Their reaction? Some are for it.
They feel it will bring revenue and a little more convenient instead of driving to Coffee City.
Many Chandler residents chose not comment. One Tyler resident tells KETK, passing beer and wine sales in Tyler is great, but hopes the city will remain clean and safe.
We wanted to hear what a liquor store owner had to say about Tuesday's election results, so KETK went to a "wet" part of town in Coffee City and stopped into Kilo Liquor.
Peter Laorkpong tells KETK, he hopes that his customers will still shop at the store. He says the two big liquor stores "Kilo Liquor" and " Fat Dogs" have the best beer, wine and liquor selection.
