Longview — A hospital in Kenya will get much-needed medical equipment because of the generosity of a Longview physician, hospitals and clinics.
Dr. Anita Scribner, an infections disease specialist who has done mission work at a Lutheran hospital in Kenya, organized the supply drive.
“Things we take for granted here in the United States are luxuries in African hospitals,” Scribner said. “Most of what has been donated is equipment that is still functional, but is considered outdated in America. However, it will be a big advancement to the doctors in Kenya.”
