Kilgore, TX — The Kilgore ISD school board has called a special meeting for 6 p.m. Thursday to consider using a firm in its upcoming search for a superintendent.
Trustees plan to speak with representatives of three search firms Thursday. The firms that will be discussed at the meeting are Bob E. Griggs of North Richland Hills, Educational Solutions and Services of New Braunfels and the Texas Association of School Boards Executive Search Services of Austin. Each firm’s representative will be given 30 minutes to make a presentation to the school board.
Dennis Williams has been serving as interim superintendent since Jody Clements left the district in September to work for Longview ISD. Though trustees named Williams the interim superintendent in September, they also said at the time that they intended to launch a search for a new superintendent in the future. District officials said Williams is free to apply for the full-time job.
The special meeting will be held in the Kilgore ISD Administration Building, 301 N. Kilgore St.
