TYLER — Update:
Firefighters have contained the fire and tenants are returning to their apartments. The Tyler Fire Department tells KETK, one apartment suffered major damage from the fire, leaving a family without a home. The apartment above suffered minor smoke damage. No injuries have been reported. Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a district chief and an investigator, responded to the scene. Personnel from the Fire Marshal's office are still on the scene conducting an investigation.
Tyler Firefighters are working a two alarm apartment fire on Wednesday morning.
It happened at the Bullard Crossing Apartments on the 5100 block of Old Bullard Rd., in apartment F2.
Smoke was visible when crews arrived on scene just before 7:00 am.
Several residents have been evacuated while crews work the fire.
KETK has a crew en route and will provide an update as soon as it is available.
