Nacogdoches, TX — A Nacogdoches County landowner who challenged TransCanada in court here over private-property rights has settled with the pipeline company in an undisclosed financial agreement.
“We had to settle,” Mike Bishop said. “They did not want to go back to court. My attorney felt like the longer this thing (went), the worse it was for me. We settled on an amount of money that nowhere near compensates me completely. It eases the pain, but that is not the point.”
