Tyler, TX (KETK) — During last year's drought, Texas received quite a bit of help from neighbors states when it came to hay.
Now this year, with other parts of the country's hay surplus dwindling, Texas ranchers are looking to return the favor, just one problem, fire ants.
Many counties in Texas and across the south are under fire quarantines, meaning you cannot transport hay through non-quarantined counties, with out it being inspected.
If you want to get you hay inspected for ants, contact the Texas Department of Agriculture at (214) 631-0265
Or contact your local Ag Extension office.
