Longview, TX — More than 30 residents had their vehicle windows broken Wednesday morning as vandals tore through northwest Longview.
A release from the Longview Police Department said officers are investigating about 30 criminal mischief calls where vehicles were damaged.
“Most of the calls involved vehicle windows being broken out," according to the release. "Several cars were also hit with eggs or some other similar substance."
The release said the damage mostly affected Longview residents who lived north of Marshall Avenue and west of Bill Owens Parkway with much damage off Gilmer Road just south of Hawkins Parkway.
On June 21, vandals swept through some of the same area slashing tires of cars parked on the street.
The Longview Police Department is seeking information to help identify the vandals.
“If anyone has information on this crime they are encouraged to contact Longview Police at (903) 237-1199. If the person reporting the crime wishes to remain anonymous they can also contact Gregg County Crimestoppers at (903) 236-STOP,” the statement said.
