LONGVIEW — UPDATE (6:00pm): Longview Police confirm to KETK that 24 year old Lynden Bell has died from his injuries after getting hit by a car Wednesday night.
Police also tell us the charges for the driver responsible, 34 year old Sarah Reeves will likely be upgraded to intoxicated manslaughter.
UPDATE (2:45pm): Police have identified the driver and victim in Wednesday's pedestrian accident.
Police tell KETK, the driver is Sarah Reeves, 34, of Longview.
Reeves has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated after hitting Lynden Bell, 24, on Lee St. in Longview.
Bell remains on life support in a local hospital.
ORIGINAL STORY (2:15pm): A man is on life support after he was hit by a drunk driver in Longview on Wednesday.
It happened on the 1900 block of Lee St. just before 7:00 pm.
The man, who has not been identified, was walking in the road when the driver hit him.
Longview Police officials tell KETK, the woman driving the vehicle was drunk at the time.
The man was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, and has been placed on life support.
The woman was arrested for intoxicated assault. Her charge may be upgraded to intoxicated manslaughter if the man succumbs to his serious injuries.
The driver's name has not yet been released.
