Sabine — A bond election for a new elementary school could be in Sabine ISD’s near future.
Superintendent Stacey Bryce said Wednesday that the Sabine ISD board of trustees and a bond steering committee each met Tuesday night to review results of a community survey that was intended to get a feel for how taxpayers would respond to a bond election.
“We had very positive results,” Bryce said.
The bond steering committee was formed months ago to review needs in the district, he said. In May, the school district hired Huckabee Inc., a Fort Worth architecture, engineering and management firm that oversaw Longview ISD’s 2008, $267 million bond election.
