Longview, TX — The Hiway 80 Rescue Mission is once again taking donations for toys and gifts this holiday season.
After helping 350 families and handing out over 3,000 toys last year, the mission has already received a record number of applications for 2012. This year we have requests to help just as many if not more. We also will provide gifts for 150-200 homeless adults at a Christmas Eve party.
The Mission is seeking donations of toys, personal hygiene items and food. At a time when the mission is serving record numbers of people seeking help, donations have been down.
There are several ways you can help. By donating an unwrapped toy or gift, volunteering at the Rescue Mission or during the Christmas party, or by dropping off food.
