Nacogdoches, TX — The National Center for Pharmaceutical Crops at Stephen F. Austin State University expects to begin testing compounds in a few years that researchers say fights cancer and influenza.
“This is still in the early stage,” said Dr. Shiyou Li, director of NCPC. “Next, we have to do further mechanisms on how the drug works, animal testing and then clinical trials. We have several years to go.”
