KILGORE — KILGORE — Young soccer stars in Kilgore moved nearer to scoring tournament-worthy fields Tuesday, while their parents might have moved up in the national line for retail outlets as the City Council poured over ideas for 2013 — and beyond.
“We don’t want to build something too small from Day One,” mayor pro tem Harvey McClendon told Kilgore Soccer Association leader Chris Raymond as options were presented for building soccer fields at the original Maude Laird Middle School, which is moving to a new site.
