Longview — An eleventh hour attempt to save the job of a Longview police officer injured a year ago while on duty failed. Leigh Ann Snyder’s employment with the Longview Police Department was terminated Tuesday, despite a meeting between the officer, her attorney and LPD Chief Don Dingler.
Snyder’s employment was terminated after she was unable to return to full-time duties within 12 months of her injury, said city spokesman Shawn Hara. Snyder is eligible for rehire or to be hired in a another position, Hara said.
