Tyler, Tx — Local authorities are investigating an attempted theft of an ATM machine from the Texas Bank and Trust early Wednesday morning in Tyler.
At 2:00 a.m., an ATM machine alarm was set off on the 2300 block of W. Grande when six people tried to pull it from the ground.
When police arrived at the scene, no burglars were in sight. Security video showed five hooded people wrap a chain around the ATM, but it broke when they tried to pull it from the concrete. They were seen leaving the area in a stolen, Dickey's BBQ 2004 Ford van that was reported missing from the business located on the 1500 block of WSW Loop 323. The vehicle was later found in an undisclosed location in south Tyler.
