The man dubbed the king of character actors has passed away.
Charles Durning was best known for such movies as "The Sting," "Tootsie" and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas."
Durning was nominated for nine Emmys, two Academy Awards, and a Golden Globe. He also won a Golden Globe and a Tony throughout his distinguished career.
Durning was a decorated World War Two hero who barely lived through D-day and was taken prisoner at the battle of the Bulge.
Charles Durning died of natural causes on monday... he was 89 years old.
His family is planning a burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
