Tyler, Tx — Did the holiday season bring you peace, joy and electronics? If you find yourself with a new E-
Reader, tablet or smartphone you can start filling it with titles borrowed from your Tyler Public Library!
All you need is a Library card for free access to a world of great E-Books and audio from favorite authors like Lee Child, Janet Evanovich, James Patterson and Tracie Peterson. Since this is a free service provided by your Library, you can also take a chance on an unknown author and maybe find a new favorite.
The Library subscribes to two services for E-Books and downloadable audio: OverDrive and OneClick Digital. Sign in to either service through the Library website. You can navigate to the Library website by going to www.tylerlibrary.com [2] or www.CityofTyler.org [3] and selecting “Library” under departments.
Overdrive has detailed instructions on its website to assist you with downloading to your device. One Click Digital also offers assistance by phone or email should you need help. Library staff is available to assist in person, over the phone at 903-593-READ or via email at idesk@tylertexas.com [4].
Both Overdrive and OneClick Digital offer apps and support multiple platforms and devices.
If you do not have a Library card, it is free and easy to obtain. Come to the Library at 201 S. College Ave. and bring a photo ID with your current address or a photo ID and a recent utility bill that shows your current address.
