Tyler, Tx (KETK) — A weak upper level disturbance will move into East Texas overnight Thursday. As moisture streams into the area, some light rain could start to fall shortly after midnight tonight. It will be a close call with temperatures and many places, because of the cloud cover, will most likely stay just above freezing.
If some temperatures drop into the freezing range, rain could mix with a little bit of sleet or snow. Don't be surprised to see some flurries or hear a little ice hitting your windshield on your Friday morning commute. However, no accumulation is expected and no major travel problems will be evident.
The rain will all come to an end by midday tomorrow with another slight chance for rain on Saturday. By the end of the weekend, we'll see lots more sunshine and a warming trend into next week.
