Longview vandalism brings little-known law to light

Longview — When 20 cars were vandalized in Longview on Monday, it brought to light a little-known fact: It’s against the law to park vehicles on the street overnight.

Police have made no arrests in the incident that left about 20 vehicles with unwanted paint jobs and covered with eggs. Most of the damaged vehicles were parked on the street — which is against the law, said Longview police department spokesman Kristie Brian.
