Tyler, TX — East Texas private schools gathered this week to focus on excellence and education.
15 private schools, All Saints Episcopal School, Bishop T.K Gorman Regional Catholic School, East Texas Christian School, Grace Community School, The Brook Hill School, King's Academy Christian Scholl, Oak Hill Montessori School, St. Gregory Cathedral School and others gathered to discuss best practices for education.
KETK spoke to four private schools in East Texas Wednesday, All Saints Episcopal School, Bishop T.K Gorman Regional Catholic School, Grace Community School and The Brook Hill School, administrators tell KETK, their number one priority is God and Education.
The private schools collaborated fro common goals, excellence, future and god. Educators and administrators discussed effective learning tools for math, technology, reading, writing and arts all for a bright future.
Ketk visited Grace Community School in Tyler,
"Our mission and purpose is to assist Christian parents and educating, equipping and encouraging their children to influence the world of Christ," says Jo Ann Krafft, Admissions Director.
Krafft tells KETK, Tyler is blessed for having such great private schools.
All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler tells KETK.
"Share those things which work best in the classroom, admissions, in development, developing curriculum," says Randal E. Brown, Head of School.
Bishop T.K Gorman Regional Catholic School tells KETK,
"We really looked at the idea of a liberal arts education and what that means and how that incorporates the concept of critical thinking," Jane Manley, Director of Advising.
Administrators want to be on the same page about education.
KETK also visited The Brook Hill School and tell KETK,
"For families that want to continue the teaching of truth about God's love, Jesus love, and also the truth academically... historically," Ginger Bell, Director of Admissions.
The schools want to bring opportunities to family. Krafft tells KETK, Christ has provided tools to do that.
Bell says, there's another common factor aside excellence.
"we are all teaching students to honor god," says Ginger Bell, Director of Admissions.
