Tyler (KETK) — Early Monday morning, Tyler Police observed a man exit a Food Fast in the 800 block of West Houston. The clerk told the officers that she had just been robbed by the man.
Both officers immediately ran towards the suspect in attempt to detain him. The man ran from officers and crossed over Palace Street.
After a chase, officers were able to take the suspect into custody. An undisclosed amount of cash was recovered at the scene.
34-year-old Robert Jackson was booked into the Smith County Jail and charged with Robbery.
