TYLER,TX. (KETK)--The President came out with his 23 executive orders Wednesday and asked Congress to make what he called common sense changes to gun laws.
I saw again, who is the judge of what is common sense.
His idea and mine don't necessarily intertwine.
After all the hubbub about Wednesday and the month that lead up to Wednesday, what has changed.
The President came out with a laundry list of things to do.
The most troubling to me is getting doctors to override HIPPA laws and getting them involved in the gun debate.
That's just not going to happen.
The Senate and House will be asked the pass the Presidents request.
I don't think that's going to happen either.
there are not enough votes in the House and even in the Senate.
Harry Reid is not may favorite person but he is a gun guy and he says there is no way he's going to spend time on legislation he knows he can't get through there.
I am glad I live in Texas.
A state which trusts me to carry out my Second Amendment rights.
I was on the road Wednesday and listening to talk radio.
I heard the Governor of New York screaming in a speech 100 times on talk radio about we don't need 10 bullets to kill a deer.
Well, the Second Amendment is not about hunting.
Never has been.
I saw new data Thursday which says most of your murder and gun crimes are committed in high population urban area.
That's exactly the areas with the tightest gun laws.
See, it doesn't make sense.
Once again, the federal government chases the wrong bird.
That's my point of view what's yours?
