Tyler, TX — Some East Texans are still getting used to beer and wine sales in parts of East Texas.
Reports say, Texans have more than 60 hours during the week to buy liquor under the current alcohol beverage code.
A possible change could add more hours to the sale of liquor.
Reports say, by changing the state's alcoholic beverage law, Texas could gain more than $7-million in general revenue funds.
Two bills may wipe out the state's "Blue Laws" limiting alcohol sales on Sundays.
Experts say, in the past years more than 10 states have repealed Sunday liquor bans.
The bills would even extend liquor sales by an hour both in the morning and the evening on Monday -Thursday.
Reports say, state officials received campaign donations from alcohol lobbing groups to push this bill.
