CNN (Dallas) — Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent made an appearance in court for a hearing on his intoxication manslaughter charge.
Brent did not go before a judge or enter a plea.
Instead, he met with his defense attorneys and prosecutors to go over the case.
The NFL player is accused of driving drunk in a car crash two months ago that killed his passenger - friend and teammate Jerry Brown.
Brent's attorney says his client is facing an all-around difficult situation, both in the courtroom and in his overall life.
Brent is currently out on bond and wearing an ankle monitor.
Defense attorneys and prosecutors will meet up again next month to discuss the case further.
