Longview, TX (Longview News-Journal) — A residential fire at a duplex in the 400 block of Electra Street on Sunday night caused structural damage but no civilian or firefighter injuries, Station One Battalion Chief Roger Groves said.
“We’re not sure at this time whether or not the building was occupied or empty when the fire began,” Groves said. “We got it contained within about half an hour.”
The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire were still under investigation late Sunday night.
The fire was called in at 8:38 p.m. and was completely extinguished at 9:02 p.m., he said. Three engines and two trucks responded to the fire, as well as medical and police vehicles and fire department investigators’ vehicles.
