East Texans sound off on open carry bill

Tyler, Tx (KETK) — A Texas representative filed a bill to allow licensed Texans to openly carry their firearms.

If passed, Texans with concealed handgun licenses can carry their handguns in shoulder or on their belt holsters.

For years, people have pushed lawmakers to make this legal for gun owners. Representative George Lavender from Texarkana says this bill has a good chance of passing in this session.

We spoke with some East Texans today and some are supportive of this legislation while others are a little skeptical. You can see their responsed in the above video.
