WHITEHOUSE - An early morning wreck sends an East Texas woman to the hospital.
The wreck happened just after nine o'clock Saturday in Smith County.
Department Of Public Safety troopers say, the one-car wreck happened on f-m 7-56 near Whitehouse.
Troopers say a slick roadway from the morning mist combined with speeding is likely to blame for the wreck.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.
Troopers say her seat belt and the airbags in her car likely prevented any serious or fatal injuries from the crash.
