Do you know who this is?
Lufkin, TX (KETK) — Lufkin Police are trying to identify a man who passed a bogus check at a Lufkin-area store.
The incident happened on June 22, 2012 at the Hobby Lobby store in Lufkin.
Surveillance video captured a black male passing a check on a non-existent bank account to purchase arts and crafts supplies and other home décor items.
The videos show that the suspect is a heavy-set, black male wearing a brown, plaid-print, short-sleeve, button-front shirt, tan, cargo-style shorts, and sandals.
He wore multiple pieces of jewelry, including a thick, possibly rope-style, necklace, a ring and bracelet on his right hand and wrist, and a ring and watch on his left hand and wrist.
In the video, the necklace, rings, and bracelet appear to be gold-in-color.
The image shown here was taken from the store's security video and shows the suspect entering the store just prior to passing the bogus check.
You can view portions of the store's surveillance video above.
The dollar value of this theft was not great, just over $75, but Texas law enhances the penalty because the suspect used a check for which he had no bank account.
