TYLER — Last month, Chris Barrios and Lenard Crabb, native East Texans, were involved in an oil field explosion near San Antonio.
Both men were critically injured.
Fortunately they survived the blast, but now comes to daunting task of rehabilitation along with a growing stack of medical bills.
Jarett Stephenson is a friend of the men. He's heading up a benefit for Lenard and Chris at Lago del Pino, February 23rd, starting at 2 P.M.
Country music artist Taylor Heard and Felix Vasquez with the Bill Hilly band visited with Bob Brackeen and Kaci Koviak on East Texas Live. They will be performing at the benefit, as well.
There will be a raffle along with an extensive silent auction.
Raffle tickets are available at Citizens National Bank, all three Tru Tan locations in Tyler, Elder Dodge in Athens, Bruno's new location Gresham and NAPA Auto Parts.
A donation account has also been set up for Crabb and Barrios at Citizens National Bank. On the memo line write in "Barrios and Crabb benefit fund - Split."
Check donations can be mailed to "Citizens National Bank P.O. Box 127, Chandler, Texas 75758."
The donation account will be open for two weeks after the benefit on Feb. 23rd.
