Longview — They came together to share the past, present and future of black history’s role in America.
There were skits depicting black men being auctioned to slave masters and black women working as servants. A slide show took the audience on the journey from slavery to Barack Obama’s election as the nation’s first black president. And the program Sunday morning at Parkview Baptist Church ended with children doing a pantomime routine to the gospel song “I Know I’ve Been Changed.”
