East Texas — Non-traditional students helped bolster East Texas colleges’ spring enrollment numbers, as many experienced a slight growth in enrollment from spring 2012.
East Texas Baptist University reported a six-year high in spring enrollment with 1,130 students.
“We have a long-term goal of enrolling 2,000 students. The plan was developed a couple of years ago, and the increased spring enrollment just shows we are progressing as planned,” said Vince Blankenship, vice president for enrollment management and marketing at the Marshall school.
