Tyler, Tx (KETK) — A Tylerite was in for a scare Monday morning when he awoke to a burglar standing in his doorway.
At 11:00 a.m., a resident on the 3600 block of Jan Street woke up to a loud noise in their house, followed by his bedroom door being opened by an unknown man.
The suspect, later identified as Shaquille Lollar, 18, of Tyler, ran back at the front door he had just broken into.
Officers searched the area for the burglar and found a person matching his description at Paluxy and Loop 323. After further investigation, police took Lollar into custody.
Lollar was booked into the Smith County Jail and charged with burglary of a habitation. His bond was set at $10,000.
