Copies of lyrics were given to parents, but not students
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; an HISD principal agreed with some offended parents that lyrics played at an elementary school's Black History Month assembly were "overly political."
Last week, a presentation stirred some parents at Smith Elementary in northwest Harris County with lyrics about President Barack Obama and another song referencing President George W. Bush.
