(KETK) - Jacksonville Tx — Wednesday morning at 8, the 2013 Mud Nationals get underway in Jacksonville.
But mud riders from across the country have already set up camp.
And while they are there having fun, they'll be dumping money right back into the city of Jacksonville.
It's an event that takes over a half a year to prepare.
But once everything is in place, it's a sight people from all over come to see, and experience.
It's big business for the town, and a heavy attraction for around 90 ATV vendors.
It's a national stage, but it still has to face East Texas problems.
"It's been a little bit dry and windy here recently which has created a lot of dust so throughout the entire event we'll be watering the roads and keeping the dust down," said Scott Smith, event organizer.
Weather conditions aside, organizers want the nationals in East Texas.
"I can't imagine taking this event anywhere else just because of the hospitality here local we are proud to be in Jacksonville, and we're proud of Jacksonville for having us"
No matter where you are from, or how long you've been riding, if you have a love for getting dirty, you and your money will be welcome in Jacksonville all week.
