The Kilgore College Rangerettes will high kick their way through their 2nd annual Christmas showcase on Sunday.

Rangerettes Director Dana Blair said this year’s Rangerette Christmas Extravaganza has been in the making since before Halloween.

Blair said the Rangerettes have been practicing two to three hours a day, five days a week. The show will include performances by four area dance studios and the Kilgore High School Hi-Steppers.

“It’s just a way to kick off the Christmas season,” Blair said. “It’s kind of a community celebration of the season.”

Planning for the Christmas show started this past year, spurred by a trip to Austin where the Rangerettes performed the opening number for the Radio City Rockettes, Blair said.
