No I do not think this system is fair, nor do I think the Property Tax system is fair. Didn't the Texas Supreme Court rule several years ago that Property Taxes were illegal for use to fund schools?
I have suggested to several lawmakers that they use a automobile registration fee to fund schools and that they also tow all cars not having proper insurance coverage and sell those that aren't redeemed to fund schools as well. Property taxes need to go!
