I am a Texan born and raised but am an OU fan. I root for the Horns in many games but not against OU.
The TV commentator was very unfair toward OU and the guy really does lack class. Running up a score is a very subjective thing. What should a player do? Fall down, QB take a knee on every play? That's insulting to the other team.
Others have plainly stated why OU finished #1 and ahead of UT. They both had great seasons as did TTech. As Bob Stoopes said, the rules were agreed on by everyone. You can't change them at the end. I watched every OU and UT game toward the end of the season and it was clear, OU had the stronger team. UT should have beaten A&M worse even with their second/third team. These kids want to do well when they are on the field so it's time to get over it. Displaying good sportsmanship is not going on TV when your #1 opponent is playing and commenting on this situation. I do like Mack Brown...just think he should not have been goaded into commenting.
