I moderated a Smith Country forum last night, and one thing that kept coming up over and over again is that once someone is elected by the people, you can't tell them what to do.
DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT MY SHERIFF CAN DO WHAT EVER HE/SHE WANTS INCLUDING VIOLATE MY CIVIL RIGHTS OR ANY LAW HE/SHE WANTS AND THERE IS NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO ABOUT IT UNTIL THE NEXT ELECTION? I think Joe and the Republicans have it wrong....they are not ABOVE THE LAW.
