Wrong, wrong, Hurricane Katrina did not strike New Orleans, and the Corps of Engineers are not the good guys here. In fact the Corps of Engineers caused the flooding that destroyed 80% of New Orleans. The city flooded because the floodwalls that the Corps built simply didn't work. When the water came up against them, they actually just fell over! Painting the Corps in a good light regarding the flooding of New Orleans is like saying that John Wilkes Booth saved Lincon from being assinated.
