Like most government programs that were not thought out before they were place in action as law, earned income credit is being abused. I believe the deduction for dependents should be raised and earned income credit be removed. If this could be done in steps and everyone would know they no longer would get a free ride, the bus would be empty. There is a level of income needed to raise a family, there also is a point of responsibility where you need to stop having kids or get a better job.
