From what I have read from all your comments is that Mr. Barnes after done stabbing Mr Lee, sat down and smoked a cig smiling. Then none of you were in danger since the attack had ended, your words. Your words have also said that Terry has more restraint then most of you, well as a trained officer he knows he cannot beat a suspect. Specially one that is handcuffed. Not saying what Barnes did is at all forgivable or justified, but neither is what Deputy Lindsey did. If he did infact hit Barnes after he took him into custody. Which from all your comments he did do. That is unlawful, though not as severe as what has happened to Mr. Lee. It is still a violation of the law and Deputy Lindsey has to face the same judiciary system as Mr. Barnes. I believe the deputy will most likely be cleared for duress, minimal will be and should be some counsoling/anger management(plea). Another thing about this, is if Deputy Lindsey did not beat him severely while handcuffed, then those marks had to come from a fight(which the police are reporting) Mr. Barnes will be able to plea, possibly win a Self-Defense/Involuntary Manslaughter charge. Fact remains that if proven Deputy Lindsey did infact beat the suspect afterwards he has jeopardized the case against Mr. Barnes because the marks he made cannot be dissected from the ones made in the fight. I know you all dont like it, but it is what will come out of this case.
