First John Tyler students are not wearing uniforms, they are adhering to a modified, stricter dress code. Men wear collared shirts, which have to be tucked into the pants,and no T Shirts. Ladies are not to wear halter tops or anything that exposes more than it should. Both students wear their pants at the waist and respect each other.
Will it curb crime? I do not think anyone has the answer, but I do know that the students look better, and they are behaving better.
