Re: Parents Not Satisfied With Bus Driver's Suspension

If this child was in special ed class why was there not an aide with him on the bus? Why was this child allowed to sit anywhere on the bus at this age (age alone, not even taking in the special needs)? This child should have been riding on the first or second seat of the bus. I have a child in the special education program in a public school when he rides a bus he has an aide on the bus and he is in middle school. I agree with the parents that someone should be accountable, and two weeks off doesnt sound right. If this had been a story about a parent forgetting a child in a car ( like a suburban) all day like this the child would have been removed from the parent and the parent would have most likely been charged with child endangerment. I dont see why there should be a difference between the two, the driver like the parent is responsible for that child and should be accountable for what happens to them
