All the media looks at is the sexual orientation of the Rt. Rev. Glaspool. She is more than qualified to be bishop. The
episcopal diocese is autonomous and not all diocese are supportive of LAs decision. This is not a reason to leave the church. We partake of the sacraments together as one whether we agree with each other at the altar rail or not. Many people pull scriptures out of context in order to legitimize there own hatred and prejudice. Not so long ago scriptures were taken out of context to legitimize slavery and the abuse of women and children.
But what does Jesus say we are to do? Love your neighbor as yourself. Of all the injustice in the world whether or not this bishop goes home and cuddles with her life partner of nineteen years should not be on the list of concerns.
